Culture
Culture is a concept of various meanings, the most common being the general definition formulated by Edward B. Tylor, according to which culture is "all that complex that includes knowledge, beliefs, art, morals, law, customs and all other habits and capacities acquired by man as a member of society. " In Rome, in the Latin language, his etymological ancestor had the sense of "agriculture," as used by Varro, for example. Culture is also commonly associated with high forms of artistic and / or technical manifestation of humanity, such as European classical music. Culture definitions were performed by Ralph Linton, Leslie White, Clifford Geertz, Franz Boas, Malinowski and other social scientists. In an in-depth study, Alfred Kroeber and Clyde Kluckhohn have found at least 167 different definitions for the term culture. Because it was strongly associated with the concept of civilization in the eighteenth century, culture is often confused with notions of development, education, good customs, etiquette, and elite behaviors.
