Epifauna, or epibenthos, is the benthic fauna consisting of animals that live on the surface of a substrate at the bottom of a body of water, especially on the seabed. Epifauna, ou epibentos, é a fauna bêntica constituída pelos animais que vivem na superfície de um substrato do fundo de um corpo de água, em especial nos fundos marinhos.
