Spiritism

Espiritismo

Spiritism or Spiritist Doctrine, [1] [2] [3] is the doctrine codified by the French pedagogue Hippolyte Léon Denizard Rivail, using the pseudonym Allan Kardec. It is a doctrine established by the fusion of science, philosophy and religion, seeking the better understanding not only of the tangible universe, but also of the universe to that transcendent. It is based on five basic works, written by him, through the observation of phenomena that he attributed to manifestations of intangible or immaterial intelligences, called spirits. Spiritist codification is present in: The Spirits 'Book, The Mediums' Book, The Gospel according to Spiritism, Heaven and Hell and Genesis; so-called "complementary" works, such as What is Spiritism ?, Spiritist Magazine and Posthumous Works, are added to the codification. The term Spiritism was coined by Kardec in 1857 [7] [8] [9] [10] to specifically define the body of ideas he collected and encoded in "The Book of Spirits."
