Juno
In Roman mythology, Juno is the wife of Jupiter and queen of the gods. It is represented by the peacock, his favorite bird. Iris was his servant and messenger. Its equivalent in Greek mythology is Hera. The sixth month of the year, June has this name in his honor. Juno and Jupiter had 5 children, Lucina, the goddess of childbirth and pregnant, Juventa, goddess of youth, Discord, goddess of discord, Mars, god of war and Vulcan, the heavenly artist, who was lame. Juno felt so annoyed to see him that he threw him out of the sky. Another version says that Jupiter threw him out because he had participated in a fight of the Olympian king with Juno, leaving him lame with the fall. Juno possessed many rivals, among them the beautiful Callisto, whom Juno, out of envy of the immense beauty that had conquered her husband, transformed into a bear. Callisto lived alone for fear of the hunters and other beasts of the forest, forgetting that now she was one herself. One day Callisto recognized her son Arcas, a man, as a hunter.
