Lepiota

Lepiota is a genus of fungi of the order Agaricales. Although they have white spores, they are related to the familiar mushrooms of brown spores of the genus Agaricus. Typically they have rings on the stipes, which, in larger species, are loose and can slide up and down along the foot. The scallop usually has scales: the color of the scallop, lamellae and scales are important in the accurate determination of the species as well as sometimes the odor.
