Miami

Miami is a city located in the American state of Florida, in the county of Miami-Dade, where it is soothes. It is the second most populous city in Florida and the 44th most populous city in the country. The present city originates in a village created in the late nineteenth century, which prospered with the railroad and the port. Miami is also known for having a large community of Cuban exiles, mostly concentrated in Little Havana. Miami is a tourist center, being one of the cities most visited by tourists in the United States, because of its warm climate all year round, and its beaches. The city is one of the most frequented by snow birds. Tourism has become a major source of income for Miami since the 1920s, and is currently the main source of income for the city. They are commonly spoken in the city, in addition to English, Spanish, due to the number of Hispanic Americans living in Miami. The region also has a large Jewish colony. On the outskirts of the city is Miami International Airport, which is the second busiest airport in the state, just behind the Orlando International Airport. Miami é uma cidade localizada no estado americano da Flórida, no condado de Miami-Dade, do qual é sede. É a segunda cidade mais populosa da Flórida e a 44ª mais populosa do país. A atual cidade tem origem numa povoação criada no fim do século XIX, que prosperou com o caminho-de-ferro e o porto. Miami é também conhecida por ter uma grande comunidade de exilados cubanos, principalmente concentrados na Little Havana. Miami é um centro turístico, sendo uma das cidades mais visitadas por turistas nos Estados Unidos, por causa de seu clima quente o ano inteiro, e pelas suas praias. A cidade é uma das mais frequentadas pelos snow birds. O turismo tornou-se uma importante fonte de renda de Miami a partir da década de 1920, e é atualmente a principal fonte de renda da cidade. São falados comumente na cidade, além do inglês, o espanhol, devido à quantidade de hispano-americanos morando em Miami. A região também conta com uma colônia judaica numerosa. Nos arredores da cidade está o Aeroporto Internacional de Miami, que é o segundo aeroporto mais movimentado do Estado, atrás apenas do Aeroporto Internacional de Orlando.
