Bâde, which means wine, is used especially in the mystic literature in the sense of "Love". The phenomenon of bade has a different prescription in traditional Turkish folk poetry as well as in the mystic literature. According to the traditions of lovers, who are folk poet poets, one of the ways in which a lover can receive a mahlace is to take the mahlace in his dream in his bed. The folk poet, in the dream, after having a bade, literally "falls in love". It is undoubtedly a deep connection with the dream motif, which has an important place in Turkish traditions. There may be a drink to be drunk in the dream, a drink such as wine, sherbet, water, or any food such as apple, pomegranate, bread, grape. Drinking in love literature is a dream-motivational tradition. To fall in love with the belief, it is necessary to catch up with the master or to absolutely drink the "pir" from hand. Şarap anlamına gelen Bâde özellikle tasavvuf edebiyatında "Aşk" manasında kullanılır. Bade olgusu, tasavvuf edebiyatındaki öneminin yanı sıra geleneksel Türk Halk Şiiri içinde de farklı bir öneme sahiptir. Halk şiiri şairleri olan aşıkların geleneklerine göre bir aşığın mahlas alabilmesinin yollarından biri de mahlasını rüyasında bade içerken almasıdır. Halk şairi, rüyasında bade içtikten sonra gerçek anlamıyla "aşık" olur. Bunun Türk geleneklerinde önemli bir yeri olan rüya motifiyle derinden bir bağlantısı vardır kuşkusuz. Rüyada içilecek olan bade, şarap, şerbet, su gibi içilecek bir mai olabileceği gibi elma, nar, ekmek, üzüm gibi herhangi bir yiyecek de olabilir. Aşık edebiyatında bade içme rüya motifi bir gelenek icabıdır. İnanışa göre aşık olmak için ya usta yanında yetişmek ya da mutlaka "pir" elinden bade içmek gerekir.
