WHAT DOES BARYUM MEAN IN TURKISH?
Barium
Barium is a chemical element whose symbol is Ba. It derives from the word "barys", which means heavily. In English Barite is used for weight intensity. The barium element has an atomic number of 56 and is present in the 6th and 2nd groups of the periodic table. Barium is an alkaline earth metal because of its presence in group 2. Barium was first described by Swedish chemist Carl Wilhelm Sheele in 1774. Barium element is a white-gray metallic color but is not present as an element because of its high reactivity. Almost all compounds of barium are poisonous. When metallic Ba is burned, the apple gives a green color. It is very difficult to hide in metallic form. Because it is an active element, it reacts easily with water, air and acids. Calcium is the most common element in the soil alkaline group in nature. Although the properties of the metals in this class are not similar, they are distinguished especially from Calcium, Strontium, Barium. These three elements decompose the water to form Hydrogen and Hydroxide.
