Meat
Meat is called food, which is made up of muscles and oil between the skin and bone in humans, muscles in the butchery provided by animals. Meat is rich in protein and it is a source of food that is often consumed in Turkey because it is tasteful. Beef and sheep are the most consumed meat species, but calves and lambs, which are their offspring, are also very popular. Meats such as goats, camels and deer are also not preferred due to economic conditions and traditional habits. Apart from these meat entering the Red Meat group, consumption of chicken and fish meat is also quite common. In recent years, alternative white meat derivatives such as turkeys, ostriches and off-shore-grown cultured fish have started to find a serious market in the country.
