Materialism
Materialism is one of the main directions of philosophy, which in solving the basic question of philosophy asserts that being, nature, material is the primary, and spirit, consciousness, ideal - secondary. Determination of primacy and secondaryity is different in different philosophers. Representatives of vulgar materialism believed that thoughts, ideas, consciousness, that is, what is usually referred to as an ideal, is also material. However, as a rule, materialists recognize the existence of an ideal, although they consider it generated by a complexly organized matter. Materialism in philosophy opposes different schools of idealism, as well as dualism.
