Codex (code: code) refers to all laws that detail and comprehensively describe a legal system, or a statute of law in a legal system for all aspects of a law. Historically, the laws of ancient civilizations mostly used Codex records. In modern times, Western law often classifies the system in accordance with the importance of the Code in a legal system. The code is dominated by the general civil law system. Code of the auxiliary status, and not the law as the basis or subject, generally referred to as common law system.
