Metalepsis o Metalepsis griega es un concepto de la retórica clásica que se ha utilizado en las teorías narrativas. Dado que el término también se ha utilizado en diferentes contextos dentro de la retórica, se deben distinguir un total de tres, pero mutuamente conectados, usos: ▪ Metalepsis como una forma de habla inauténtica, como símbolo o tropo de la retórica clásica. ▪ El metalepse como concepto para una relación especial de la vida narrativa en la teoría narrativa. ▪ El uso más antiguo del término es que en la teoría de la corte. Para el concepto de retórica clásica se prefiere la forma griega, para la cual la teoría narrativa también usa el metalepse que también se usa en francés, pero también se encuentra la otra forma.
