El partido árabe socialista Ba'ath fue un partido político fundado en Siria por Michel Aflaq, Salah al-Din al-Bitar y asociados de Zaki al-Arsuzi. El partido abrazó el baazismo, que es una ideología que mezcla a los nacionalistas árabes, el panarabismo, los intereses socialistas y antiimperialistas árabes.
