Bobsleigh
Bobsleigh o bobsled es un deporte de invierno en el que los equipos de dos o cuatro hacen cronometrada corre por estrecha, torcida, banked, pistas heladas en un tren de gravedad. Las tiradas cronometradas se combinan para calcular la puntuación final. Los varios tipos de trineos vinieron varios años antes de que las primeras pistas fueran construidas en St. Moritz, Suiza, en donde los bobsleds originales fueron adaptados trineos de luge / esqueleto de upsized diseñados por aventureros ricos para llevar a pasajeros. Los tres tipos fueron adaptados de los trineos de entrega de los niños y toboganes. La competición seguía naturalmente, y para proteger a la clase obrera ya los visitantes ricos en las calles y los caminos de St Moritz, el bobsledding fue prohibido eventual de la vía pública. En el invierno de 1903/1904, la familia Badrutt, dueños del histórico Hotel Kulm y del Palace Hotel, permitió a Emil Thoma organizar la construcción de la primera pista familiar de "half-pipe" en el Kulm Hotel Park, terminando en el pueblo De Cresta. Ha sido anfitrión del deporte durante dos Olimpiadas y todavía está en uso hoy en día.
