Cola larga
En estadística, una larga cola de algunas distribuciones de números es la porción de la distribución que tiene un gran número de ocurrencias lejos de la "cabeza" o parte central de la distribución. Una distribución de probabilidad se dice que tiene una cola larga, si una mayor proporción de población descansa dentro de su cola que en una distribución normal. Una distribución de cola larga surgirá con la inclusión de muchos valores inusualmente lejos de la media, lo que aumenta la magnitud de la asimetría de la distribución.
