Microclima
Un microclima es una zona atmosférica local donde el clima difiere de la zona circundante. El término puede referirse a áreas tan pequeñas como unos cuantos pies cuadrados o tan grandes como millas cuadradas. Los microclimas existen, por ejemplo, cerca de cuerpos de agua que pueden enfriar la atmósfera local, o en áreas muy urbanas donde ladrillo, hormigón y asfalto absorben la energía del sol, calientan y reradian ese calor al aire ambiente: el calor urbano resultante Isla es una especie de microclima. Microclimas se pueden encontrar en la mayoría de los lugares. Otro factor que contribuye al microclima es la pendiente o aspecto de un área. La zona de un parque industrial desarrollado puede variar mucho de un parque arbolado cercano, ya que la flora natural de los parques absorbe la luz y el calor en las hojas que un techo de edificio o estacionamiento sólo irradia de nuevo en el aire.
