En la música tonal, un punto de pedal es un tono sostenido, típicamente en el bajo, durante el cual al menos una armonía extraña, es decir, disonante es sonada en las otras partes. Un punto de pedal a veces funciona como un "tono de no acordes", colocándolo en las categorías junto a suspensiones, retardos y tonos de paso.
