Uremia
La uremia o uremia es la enfermedad que acompaña la insuficiencia renal, en particular los desechos nitrogenados asociados con el fallo de este órgano. En la insuficiencia renal, la urea y otros productos de desecho, que normalmente se excretan en la orina, se mantienen en la sangre. Los primeros síntomas incluyen anorexia y letargo, y los síntomas tardíos pueden incluir disminución de la agudeza mental y el coma. Otros síntomas incluyen fatiga, náuseas, vómitos, resfriado, dolor en los huesos, picazón, dificultad para respirar y convulsiones.
