Occidentalización
La occidentalización o occidentalización es también un proceso por el cual las sociedades se someten o adoptan la cultura occidental en áreas tales como la industria, la tecnología, el derecho, la política, la economía, el estilo de vida, la dieta, la ropa, el lenguaje, el alfabeto, la religión, la filosofía y los valores . La occidentalización ha sido una influencia omnipresente y acelerada en todo el mundo en los últimos siglos, con algunos pensadores asumiendo que la occidentalización es el equivalente de la modernización, una forma de pensamiento que a menudo se debate. El proceso general de la occidentalización es a menudo de doble cara, ya que las influencias y los intereses occidentales se unen a partes de la sociedad afectada, como mínimo, para cambiar hacia una sociedad más occidentalizada, con la esperanza de alcanzar la vida occidental o algunos aspectos de ella.
