Bobina electromagnética
Una bobina electromagnética es un conductor eléctrico tal como un alambre en forma de bobina, espiral o hélice. Las bobinas electromagnéticas se utilizan en ingeniería eléctrica, en aplicaciones donde las corrientes eléctricas interactúan con campos magnéticos, en dispositivos tales como inductores, electroimanes, transformadores y bobinas de sensores. La ventaja de usar una forma de bobina es que aumenta la fuerza del campo magnético producido por una corriente dada. Los campos magnéticos generados por las vueltas separadas del alambre pasan a través del centro de la bobina y agregan para producir un campo fuerte allí. Cuanto más vueltas de alambre, más fuerte es el campo producido. Por el contrario, un cambio de flujo magnético externo induce un voltaje en un conductor tal como un alambre, debido a la ley de inducción de Faraday.
