El Islam es una religión samawi contenida en el Corán, que se considera como seguidores de Dios, palabra por palabra, así como las enseñanzas normativas y ejemplos del último profeta del Profeta Muhammad en el siglo VII, una figura política y religiosa árabe del siglo VII. Las palabras islámicas significan "sumisión", o entrega a Dios. Un musulmán es conocido como musulmán, lo que significa "sumiso".
