Bulbo es la etapa latente de ciertas plantas de semillas, especialmente las plantas monocotiledóneas perennes. Consiste en una yema subterránea relativamente grande, por lo general de forma globular, con hojas membranosas o carnosas superpuestas, a partir de un tallo corto. Bulbii le permit multor plante ornamentale, cum ar fi narcisele, lalelele și zambilele, să înflorească rapid la începutul primăverii, când apar condiții favorabile de creștere. Alte plante cu bulbi înfloresc vara sau toamna.
