Ambulacral
L'ambulacral est un terme généralement utilisé dans le contexte des parties anatomiques du phylum Echinodermata ou de la classe Asteroidea et Edrioasteroidea. Les échinodermes peuvent avoir des parties ambulacres qui comprennent des ossules, des assiettes, des épines et des ventouses. Par exemple, les étoiles de la mer ou les "poissons étoiles" ont un sillon ambulacral sur leur côté oral. Ce sillon ambulacral s'étend de la bouche à la fin de chaque rayon ou bras. Chaque rainure de chaque bras comporte à son tour quatre rangées de pieds tubulaires creux qui peuvent être prolongés ou retirés. En face du sillon ambulacral, il y a une crête ambulacre du côté aborale de chaque rayon, connu sous le nom d'ambulacrum. Ils ont interambulacra entre eux.
