Behaviorisme
Behaviorism, est une approche de la psychologie qui combine des éléments de philosophie, de méthodologie et de théorie. Il a émergé au début du XXe siècle comme une réaction à la psychologie "mentaliste", qui a souvent eu des difficultés à faire des prédictions qui pourraient être testées à l'aide de méthodes expérimentales rigoureuses. Le principe principal du behaviorisme, tel qu'il est exprimé dans les écrits de John B. Watson, B. F. Skinner et d'autres, est que la psychologie devrait se préoccuper du comportement observable des personnes et des animaux, non pas avec des événements inobservables qui se déroulent dans leur esprit. L'école de pensée comportementale soutient que les comportements en tant que tels peuvent être décrits scientifiquement sans recourir à des événements physiologiques internes ou à des constructions hypothétiques telles que des pensées et des croyances. Du début de la psychologie au 19ème siècle, l'école de pensée comportementale a couru simultanément et a partagé les points communs avec les mouvements psychanalytiques et Gestalt en psychologie au 20ème siècle; Mais aussi différent de la philosophie mentale des psychologues Gestalt de manière critique.
