Le Bhagavad Gita (Sanscrit: श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता, Śrīmadbhagavadgītā, Prononciation sanskrit: (écoutez)), signifiant littéralement Le Chant du Bhagavan, souvent appelé simplement Gita, est une écriture 700-versée qui fait partie du Mahabharata épique hindou. C'est un texte sacré des Hindous. Le Gita est établi dans un cadre narratif d'un dialogue entre Pandava prince Arjuna et son guide, le Seigneur Krishna. Face au devoir de tuer ses proches, Arjuna est "exhorté par son commis de voiture, Kṛiṣhṇa, entre autres, à arrêter d'hésiter et d'accomplir son devoir Kṣatriya (Guerrier) en tant que guerrier et tuer". Inséré dans cet appel à ksatriyadharma (l'héroïsme) est «un dialogue entre les attitudes divergentes concernant et les méthodes vers la réalisation de la libération (moksha). La Bhagavad Gita présente une synthèse du concept brahmanique du Dharma, du bhakti théistique, des idéaux yogiques de la libération à travers Jnana et la philosophie de Samkhya. De nombreux commentaires ont été écrits sur la Bhagavad Gita avec des vues très différentes sur l'essentiel. It is a sacred text of the Hindus. The Gita is set in a narrative framework of a dialogue between Pandava prince Arjuna and his guide Lord Krishna. Facing the duty to kill his relatives, Arjuna is "exhorted by his charioteer, Kṛiṣhṇa, among others, to stop hesitating and fulfill his Kṣatriya (warrior) duty as a warrior and kill." Inserted in this appeal to ksatriyadharma (heroism) is "a dialogue between diverging attitudes concerning and methods toward the attainment of liberation (moksha). The Bhagavad Gita presents a synthesis of the Brahmanical concept of Dharma, theistic bhakti, the yogic ideals of liberation through jnana, and Samkhya philosophy. Numerous commentaries have been written on the Bhagavad Gita with widely differing views on the essentials.
