Co-design ou codesign est un processus de développement de produits, de services ou d'organisation où les professionnels du design permettent, encouragent et guident les utilisateurs à développer des solutions pour eux-mêmes. Co-design encourage le flou du rôle entre l'utilisateur et le concepteur, en se concentrant sur le processus par lequel l'objectif de conception est créé. Ce processus croit qu'en encourageant le concepteur formé et l'utilisateur à créer des solutions ensemble, le résultat final sera plus approprié et acceptable pour l'utilisateur. Il est généralement reconnu que la qualité de la conception augmente si les intérêts des parties prenantes sont pris en compte dans le processus de conception. Co-design est un développement de la pensée systémique, qui selon C. West Churchman "commence quand d'abord vous regardez le monde à travers les yeux d'un autre". En ce sens, la co-conception dans les différents domaines de recherche est étroitement liée à la conception ou à la création d'artefacts dans le contexte des communautés grâce à une vision partagée, un apprentissage social et une compréhension mutuelle entre tous les acteurs clés, en tenant compte des perspectives et des attentes différentes qui devraient être Tenir compte du processus de co-conception.

Co-design encourages the blurring of the role between user and designer, focusing on the process by which the design objective is created. This process believes that by encouraging the trained designer and the user to create solutions together, the final result will be more appropriate and acceptable to the user. It is generally recognized that the quality of design increases if the stakeholders' interests are considered in the design process. Co-design is a development of systems thinking, which according to C. West Churchman "begins when first you view the world through the eyes of another." As it is, co-design in the different research fields is tightly connected to the conception or creation of artifacts in communities context through a shared vision, social learning and mutual understanding among all key stakeholders, taking in consideration different perspectives and expectations that should be hold in consideration during the co-design process.
