QUE SIGNIFIE CONDORCET EN ANGLAIS
Marquis de Condorcet
Marie Jean Antoine Nicolas de Caritat, marquis de Condorcet, connu sous le nom de Nicolas de Condorcet, était un philosophe français, un mathématicien et un scientifique politique précoce dont la méthode de Condorcet lors du scrutin sélectionne le candidat qui battrait chacun des autres candidats dans un run-off élection. Contrairement à beaucoup de ses contemporains, il préconisait une économie libérale, une éducation publique gratuite et égale, le constitutionnalisme et l'égalité des droits pour les femmes et les personnes de toutes les races. Ses idées et ses écrits étaient censés incarner les idéaux de l'âge des lumières et du rationalisme et demeurent influents à ce jour. Il est mort d'une mort mystérieuse en prison après une période de vol des autorités de la Révolution française.
