Leontodon
Leontodon est un genre de plantes de pissenlit dans la famille des Asteraceae, communément appelées hawkbits. Leur nom anglais dérive de la croyance médiévale selon laquelle les faucons mangeaient la plante pour améliorer leur vision. Bien que n'appartenant qu'à l'origine en Eurasie et en Afrique du Nord, certaines espèces sont depuis établies dans d'autres pays, y compris les États-Unis et la Nouvelle-Zélande. Des recherches récentes ont montré que le genre Leontodon dans la délimitation traditionnelle est polyphylétique. Par conséquent, l'ancien sous-genre Leontodon Oporinia a été élevé au niveau générique. Selon les règles de nomenclature, le nom de Scorzoneroides a prioritaire au niveau générique et, par conséquent, les membres du sous-genèse de Leontodon Oporinia ont été transférés dans le genre réélevé Scorzoneroides.
