La loi de Hubble
La loi de Hubble est le nom de l'observation dans la cosmologie physique qui: les objets observés dans l'espace profond ont un décalage Doppler interprétant comme une vitesse relative loin de la Terre; Et que cette vitesse mesurée par le Doppler-shift, de diverses galaxies reculées de la Terre, est approximativement proportionnelle à leur distance de la Terre aux galaxies jusqu'à quelques centaines de mégaparsecs. Ceci est normalement interprété comme une observation directe et physique de l'expansion du volume spatial de l'univers observable. Le mouvement des objets astronomiques dû uniquement à cette expansion est connu sous le nom de flux Hubble. La loi de Hubble est considérée comme la première base d'observation pour l'élargissement du paradigme de l'espace et constitue aujourd'hui l'un des éléments les plus souvent cités à l'appui du modèle Big Bang. Bien que largement attribué à Edwin Hubble, la loi a d'abord été dérivée des équations de relativité générale par Georges Lemaître dans un article de 1927 où il a proposé que l'univers se développe et suggère une valeur estimée du taux d'expansion, maintenant appelé constante de Hubble.
