Insourcing
Insourcing est la cessation par une entreprise de contracter une fonction commerciale et le début de son exécution en interne. Insourcing est l'inverse de l'externalisation. Insourcing est une décision commerciale qui est souvent faite pour maintenir le contrôle de la production ou des compétences critiques. L'insourcing est largement utilisé dans la production pour réduire les coûts des taxes, de la main-d'œuvre et des transports. Insourcing est également défini comme le fait que le sous-traitant tiers travaille dans les installations d'une entreprise. Par exemple, un fournisseur d'externalisation informatique peut être embauché pour desservir le service informatique d'une entreprise tout en travaillant dans les installations de l'entreprise. En plus de contracter toute une équipe de travailleurs d'un fournisseur d'externalisation, des experts extérieurs sont parfois embauchés en tant que consultants et le personnel interne applique ensuite leurs recommandations. Il peut également s'agir d'amener les ressortissants étrangers à faire des emplois à des salaires plus bas. Un exemple serait une mine de charbon qui énumère une langue étrangère comme condition préalable au travail que les citoyens ont tendance à ne pas étudier. Étant donné que le bassin de main-d'œuvre n'a pas les compétences indiquées, un permis de travailleur étranger peut être obtenu permettant l'importation de travailleurs chinois.
