Limerence
Limerence est un état d'esprit involontaire qui résulte d'une attraction romantique à une autre personne combinée à un besoin écrasant et obsessionnel d'avoir ses sentiments réciproques. La psychologue Dorothy Tennov a inventé le terme "limerence" dans son livre de 1979 Love and Limerence: L'expérience de l'amoureux de décrire le concept issu de son travail au milieu des années 1960, quand elle a interviewé plus de 500 personnes sur le sujet d'amour. Plus récemment, la limerence a été définie par rapport au trouble obsessionnel compulsif comme «un état interpersonnel involontaire qui implique des pensées, des sentiments et des comportements intrusifs, obsessifs et compulsifs qui dépendent de la réciprocité émotionnelle perçue par l'objet d'intérêt». Limerence a également été définie en fonction des effets potentiellement inspirants et de la relation à la théorie de l'attachement, qui n'est pas exclusivement sexuelle, comme étant «un état d'adoration involontaire et potentiellement inspirant d'un objet limitant impliquant des pensées, des sentiments et des comportements intrusifs et obsessifs De l'euphorie au désespoir, subordonné à la réciprocité émotionnelle perçue ".
