Un chapeau de mafia ou un capuchon de mafia est un capot en tissu rond, ramassé ou plissé, composé d'un calin pour couvrir les cheveux, un bord volé ou agité, et une bande de ruban, porté par des femmes mariées en période géorgienne, quand on l'appelait un "bonnet". Ces chapeaux de la foule sont généralement une forme circulaire simple avec une bande élastique et peuvent être faits de matériaux jetables tels que le polypropylène coulé ou le filet en nylon.
