Dans les statistiques, une moyenne mobile est un calcul pour analyser les points de données en créant une série de moyennes de différents sous-ensembles de l'ensemble de données complet. On l'appelle aussi une moyenne mobile ou un moyen de roulement et est un type de filtre à réponse impulsionnelle finie. Les variations comprennent: des formes simples, cumulatives ou pondérées. Compte tenu d'une série de nombres et d'une taille de sous-ensemble fixe, le premier élément de la moyenne mobile est obtenu en prenant la moyenne du sous-ensemble fixe initial de la série de numéros. Ensuite, le sous-ensemble est modifié par "aller de l'avant"; C'est-à-dire en excluant le premier nombre de la série et en incluant le numéro suivant suivant le sous-ensemble original de la série.
