Polarisation linéaire
En électrodynamique, la polarisation linéaire ou la polarisation plane du rayonnement électromagnétique est une confinement du vecteur de champ électrique ou du vecteur de champ magnétique dans un plan donné le long de la direction de propagation. Voir la polarisation pour plus d'informations. L'orientation d'une onde électromagnétique polarisée linéairement est définie par la direction du vecteur de champ électrique. Par exemple, si le vecteur de champ électrique est vertical, on dit que le rayonnement est polarisé verticalement.
