Titrisation
La titrisation est la pratique financière consistant à regrouper divers types de dettes contractuelles telles que les prêts hypothécaires résidentiels, les prêts hypothécaires commerciaux, les emprunts automobiles ou les emprunts de cartes de crédit et la vente de ladite dette consolidée comme des obligations, des titres passifs ou des obligations hypothécaires garanties à divers investisseurs. Le principal et l'intérêt sur la dette, sous-jacente à la sécurité, sont remboursés régulièrement aux investisseurs. Les titres assujettis aux créances hypothécaires sont appelés titres adossés à des créances hypothécaires, tandis que ceux qui sont soutenus par d'autres types de créances sont des titres adossés à des actifs.
