Science sociale
La science sociale est une discipline académique concernée par la société et les relations entre les individus au sein d'une société. Il comprend l'anthropologie, l'économie, la science politique, la psychologie et la sociologie. Dans un sens plus large, il peut souvent inclure certains domaines dans les sciences humaines telles que l'archéologie, l'histoire, le droit et la linguistique. En revanche, les spécialistes des sciences sociales interprètes peuvent utiliser la critique sociale ou l'interprétation symbolique plutôt que de construire des théories empiriques falsifiables et de traiter ainsi la science dans son sens plus large. Dans la pratique académique moderne, les chercheurs sont souvent éclectiques, en utilisant de multiples méthodologies.
