Sous-ensemble
En mathématiques, en particulier dans la théorie des ensembles, un ensemble A est un sous-ensemble d'un ensemble B, ou équivalent B est un sur-ensemble de A, si A est "contenu" à l'intérieur de B, c'est-à-dire que tous les éléments de A sont également des éléments de B. A et B peuvent coïncider. La relation d'un ensemble étant un sous-ensemble d'un autre est appelée inclusion ou parfois contenue. La relation de sous-ensemble définit un ordre partiel sur les ensembles. L'algèbre des sous-ensembles forme une algèbre booléenne dans laquelle la relation de sous-ensemble s'appelle inclusion.
