Dilatation du temps
Dans la théorie de la relativité, la dilatation du temps est une différence réelle du temps écoulé entre deux événements, mesurée par les observateurs soit en mouvement l'une par rapport à l'autre soit dans une position différente des masses gravitationnelles. Une horloge précise au repos par rapport à un observateur peut être mesurée pour taper à un taux différent par rapport aux horloges propres à un deuxième observateur. Cet effet ne découle ni des aspects techniques des horloges ni du fait que les signaux ont besoin de temps pour se propager, mais de la nature de l'espace-temps lui-même.
