जागर

Jagar veut se réveiller. Certaines divinités du village sont adorées dans les régions occidentales de l'Uttarakhand et du Népal, telles que Gangnath, Golu, Bhanariya, Kalsan etc. De nombreuses divinités s'appellent «Gram Devata» dans la langue locale. Le sens de la divinité du village est le dieu du village. Par conséquent, les gens d'Uttarakhand et Doti ont mis en place pour réveiller les dieux. Jagar se fait n'importe où dans le temple ou dans la maison. Jagar "baisis" et "chauras" sont de deux types.

जागर का मतलब होता है जगाना। उत्तराखण्ड तथा नेपाल के पश्चिमी क्षेत्रोँ मेँ कुछ ग्राम देवताओँ की पूजा कि जाती है, जैसे गंगनाथ, गोलु, भनरीया, काल्सण आदि। बहुत देवताओँ को स्थानीय भाषा मेँ 'ग्राम देवता' कहा जाता है। ग्राम देवता का अर्थ गांव का देवता है। अत: उत्तराखण्ड और डोटी के लोग देवताओँ को जगाने हेतु जागर लगाते हैँ। जागर मन्दिर अथवा घर मेँ कहीं भी किया जाता है। जागर "बाइसी" तथा "चौरास" दो प्रकार के होते हैँ.
