Tapai est un type de collation faite à partir de riz glutineux. Il y a 2 types de tapai c'est-à-dire tapai ubi et pulai pulai. Habituellement bubu tapaï est plus populaire par rapport à tapai tubi. Les ingrédients pour faire des tapai ne sont pas trop compliqués. Les jeunes mariés ont besoin d'ingrédients tels que du riz gluant, de la levure et un peu de sucre. Ces trois ingrédients doivent être mélangés ensemble. Ensuite, il sera emballé légèrement en utilisant une feuille appelée feuilles de tapaï. Mais à cette époque, les feuilles de tapaï sont de plus en plus rares et la plupart des tapaïs sont enveloppés dans des feuilles de bananier. Il y a peu de différence entre les tapaïs enveloppés de feuilles de tapaï et les tapaïs enveloppés de feuilles de bananier. Les mocassins préparés sont placés dans de grands pots et couverts de tissu. Une fois fermenté et stocké pendant 3 jours, le ragoût va cuire et ensuite être mangé. Le salon cuit produit de l'eau très douce. Le tapai peut être bu et peut également être utilisé comme un médicament traditionnel. Les personnes âgées ont aussi des tabous en essayant de faire du tapai.
