Abihu - une figure biblique de l'Ancien Testament, le fils d'Aaron et Elisabeth. Il est né en Egypte, d'où il est sorti avec tout le peuple d'Israël. Il avait trois frères: Nadab, Eleazar et Itamar. Avec son frère aîné Nadeb et 70 autres Israélites et Aaron et Moïse, il fut appelé au mont Sinaï, où il vit la vision de Yahweh. Avec son père et ses frères, il a été ordonné prêtre. Très probablement, le deuxième jour après cette fête, Abihu et son frère Nadab ont commis une offense grave, ont offert un feu illicite et ont été tués par le feu de Yahweh, et ensuite leurs corps ont été élevés pour le camp. A Aaron et aux deux autres frères, Dieu interdit le deuil de ses parents, qu'il avait enlevés à la congrégation.

Najprawdopodobniej na drugi dzień po tej uroczystości Abihu i jego brat Nadab dopuścili się poważnego wykroczenia, ofiarując niedozwolony ogień i zostali za to zabici przez ogień od Jahwe, a potem ich ciała wyniesiono za obóz. Aaronowi oraz dwom pozostałym braciom Bóg zabronił obchodzić żałobę po swych bliskich, których zgładził spośród zgromadzenia.
