crooner
Crooner est un terme désignant un chanteur vocal qui joue d'une certaine manière vocale interprétative inspirée par le style de mélodies très cantables et bien connues, ainsi que d'éléments importants de ballades musicales et très souvent de jazz. Les crooners sont normalement accompagnés d'un orchestre complet ou d'un ensemble instrumental appelé big band. Dans une première approximation linguistique, un coureur est une ballade, bien que certains d'entre eux, dont Frank Sinatra et Bing Cosby, n'acceptent pas cette caractérisation de leur interprétation musicale. D'autres, y compris Russ Colombo, considèrent le terme couronné comme ayant une connotation négative et, à ce titre, le refusent. Bien que les hommes et les femmes puissent pratiquer cette manière d'interpréter la musique, le terme «crooner» est rare, et est considéré comme incorrect, utilisé pour désigner un chanteur.
