Testis

La glande ou le testicule est la structure située sur les deux côtés du pénis à partir des organes reproducteurs mâles. Les glandes ont des tâches telles que la sécrétion de l'hormone testostérone, la production de spermatozoïdes et le développement de certaines caractéristiques physiques spécifiques aux hommes. Les deux glandes gauche et droite situées dans le côté gauche et droit du scrotum font partie des canaux de sperme et contiennent un grand nombre de structures vasculaires. Le scrotum est une caractéristique très importante en termes de maintien de la fonction du sperme. Les spermatozoïdes sont affectés par les changements de température et doivent être dans un environnement d'environ 2 degrés inférieur à la température du corps afin de remplir leur fonction de manière optimale. C'est pourquoi c'est hors du corps. La chaleur à l'intérieur du torse est inférieure à la chaleur corporelle et elle se rétracte à froid pour éviter la perte de chaleur. Au contraire, il réchauffe pour empêcher les spermatozoïdes d'être exposés à une chaleur excessive. Bien que les testicules soient approximativement de la même taille, ils sont structurellement situés légèrement en dessous du côté gauche du testicule gauche. Chaque testicule a de petits conduits de sperme très incurvés.

Sperm hücreleri ısı değişikliklerinden olumsuz etkilenirler ve işlevlerini en iyi şekilde yerine getirebilmeleri için vücut ısısından yaklaşık 2 derece daha düşük bir ortamda bulunmaları gerekir. Torbanın vücut dışında bulunmasının nedeni budur. Torbanın içindeki ısı vücut ısısından daha düşüktür ve soğukta büzüşerek ısı kaybını önler. Sıcakta ise aksine sperm hücrelerinin aşırı ısıya maruz kalmalarını önlemek için gevşer. Testisler yaklaşık aynı büyüklükte olmalarına karşın yapısal olarak sol testis sağdakine göre biraz daha aşağıda yer alır. Her testis içinde küçük ve oldukça kıvrımlı sperm kanalcıkları bulunur.
