Une catégorie ou une catégorie est généralement comprise comme un attribut ou un attribut chargé sur un objet dans un sens philosophique. Les catégories spécifient la signification et les limites d'un sujet, le contexte de son contenu et sa forme. Ainsi, la catégorie semble être un concept qui détermine les conditions dans lesquelles la philosophie peut dire quelque chose de significatif. Kant a une définition de catégorie parallèle à cela mais avec un contenu différent.
