Hans Bethe
Hans Albrecht Bethe è un fisico nucleare tedesco e americano che, oltre a dare importanti contributi all'astronomia, all'elettrodinamica quantistica e alla fisica dello stato solido, ha vinto il Premio Nobel 1967 in fisica per il suo lavoro sulla teoria della nucleosintesi stellare. Per la maggior parte della sua carriera, Bethe era un professore presso la Cornell University. Durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, è stato capo della Divisione Teorica al laboratorio segreto Los Alamos che ha sviluppato le prime bombe atomiche.
