Dissociazione (chimica)

Dissociazione in chimica e biochimica è un processo generale in cui composti ionici separare o dividere in particelle più piccole, ioni, o radicali, di solito in modo reversibile. Ad esempio, quando un acido di Brønsted-Lowry viene messo in acqua, un legame covalente tra un atomo elettronegativo e un atomo di idrogeno è interrotta da fissione eterolitico, che dà un protone e uno ione negativo.
