Folclore
Il folklore è costituito da leggende, musica, storia orale, proverbi, battute, credenze popolari, fiabe, storie, storie alte e costumi inclusi nelle tradizioni di una cultura, una sottocultura o un gruppo. Esso comprende anche l'insieme di pratiche attraverso cui questi generi espressivi sono condivisi. Lo studio del folklore è talvolta chiamato folkloristica e le persone che studiano il folclore sono talvolta definite "folkloristi". If a student takes the whole series of my folklore courses including the graduate seminars, he or she should learn something about fieldwork, something about bibliography, something about how to carry out library research, and something about how to publish that research.
They do not merely collect texts; they must also gather data about the context and the informant and, above all, write an analysis of the items based upon the course readings and lecture material on folklore theory and method.

If you take myth and folklore, and these things that speak in symbols, they can be interpreted in so many ways that although the actual image is clear enough, the interpretation is infinitely blurred, a sort of enormous rainbow of every possible colour you could imagine.
