Il Grieve era un'automobile peruviana che fu costruita nel 1908 da Juan Alberto Grieve, un ingegnere peruviano con una grande conoscenza dei motori a combustione. Il veicolo è diventato la prima auto progettata e costruita in Sud America. Un pioniere nell'industria automobilistica, Grieve ha deciso di costruire un'auto abbastanza potente per superare le strade cattive e il terreno difficile del Perù. L'automobile è stata sviluppata presso l'officina di Grieve a Lima e gli unici elementi importati del veicolo erano i pneumatici di Michelin, l'avviatore Bosch e il carburatore. L'auto aveva cinque sedili, due davanti e tre dietro. Quelle sul retro erano rimovibili, lasciando un'area per il trasporto. Il veicolo aveva quattro cilindri, e il motore aveva un potere di 20HP con 1800 giri al minuto. Grazie all'elasticità del motore, questo poteva essere ridotto a 200 giri. Il costo della vettura era di 300 libbre, la metà di quella che un'automobile europea di pari potenza costa. La macchina è stata chiamata "Grieve" dopo il suo proprietario, ei piani sono stati brevettati. L'idea era quella di commercializzare l'impresa e costruire una flotta di 20 auto più.
