Oxalis tuberosa
Oxalis tuberosa è una pianta erbacea perenne che sovrasta come tuberi sotterranei. Questi tuberi sono conosciuti come uqa in Quechua, oca ispanico, come yam della Nuova Zelanda e un certo numero di altri nomi alternativi. L'impianto è stato portato in coltura nelle Ande centrali e meridionali per i suoi tuberi, che vengono utilizzati come vegetali di radice. La pianta non è nota in natura, ma popolazioni di specie selvatiche di Oxalis che recano tuberi più piccoli sono conosciuti da quattro aree della regione Andina centrale. L'Oca è stata introdotta in Europa nel 1830 come concorrente alla patata e alla Nuova Zelanda già nel 1860. In Nuova Zelanda, la goccia è diventata una verdura popolare e si chiama semplicemente yam.
