La procrastinazione è la pratica di svolgere compiti meno urgenti in preferenza di quelli più urgenti o di fare cose più piacevoli al posto di quelle meno piacevoli e quindi spostare i compiti imminenti in un momento successivo, talvolta all'ultimo minuto prima della scadenza . Il principio del piacere può essere responsabile del procrastinazione; Si potrebbe preferire evitare emozioni negative e ritardare compiti stressanti.
